| New owner taking over the Bee Hive Gift Shop Patty Leighton, owner of the Bee Hive Gift Shop in the Midtown Village since March 1, 2009, has sold the business, effective Thursday, March 1. Leighton, wife of former Wilkes-Barre mayor Tom Leighton, said the time was right — a customer offered to purchase the business and the deal was finalized.
